Prof. Dr. Gehan Fathy Attia Balata, Head of Pharmacy Practice Department, Since September 2018, She was appointed as the head of Pharmacy Practice department in Zagazig University and the head of Quality Assurance unit as well. She had PhD in Pharmaceutics from Zagazig University in 2004.
She joined Umm AlQura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia in 2008 till 2017 and occupied different positions: associate professor in pharmaceutics, vice dean of female section and vice dean for quality assurance and community service.
She had Six sigma certification for the title of IASSC Certified Green Belt (1-1075) in 2015.
She is a certified professional in healthcare quality (CPHQ), No. HQ0318659 since 2017.
Dr. Gehan’s passion is dedicated to quality assurance in education and accreditation as I supervised different national and international accreditation processes both in Saudi Arabia and in Egypt. I also have a good experience in curriculum design and academic staff training.
Dr. Gehan’s research is dedicated to pharmaceutical formulations and bioavailability study as well as clinical research including patient satisfaction and medication misuse.
