She is a lecturer in Water Engineering Program, Civil Engineering, Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development with more than 22 years of diverse experience in the fields of hydrogeology and assessing the impacts of climate and global change on groundwater resources, seawater intrusion modelling, transboundary regional water issues in the Nile basin countries and groundwater management. She obtained her Ph.D. from Unesco-IHE Delft, TUD University, Netherlands, on the issues of climate change and development impacts on groundwater behaviour in the Nile Delta, Egypt.
