Dr. Amira Rashad
Is a lecturer of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy , Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development since February 2020. She has a strong background in the field of pharmaceutical industry as she started her career as a formulation Junior in R&D Department at Arab Drug Company – (ADCO). In 2004, she moved to Mepaco-Medifood Pharmaceutical company to work as formulation Senior in R&D Department where she was promoted to position of R&D Deputy Manager. She has a Professional Experience in formulation of different dosage forms and scaling up as well as production of pharmaceutical and herbal products. She earned her MSC and PhD degrees from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 2014, 2019, respectively.
Dr. Rashad is a Reviewer Board Member in Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Science.
Dr. Rashad research interest focuses on Controlled release drug formulations in solid dosage forms using different techniques. She is also interested in solubility enhancement of poorly soluble drugs using different techniques like Liquisol technique and granulation technique as well as multilayered tablets.
