Heliopolis University (HU) and the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA) have forged a landmark cooperation agreement aimed at advancing sustainable development in Egypt. The agreement, effective from June 1, 2021, brings together two leading organizations committed to promoting environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and holistic approaches to agriculture and education.

HU, known for its dedication to sustainable development, and EBDA, a prominent advocate for biodynamic farming practices, have joined forces to leverage their expertise and resources in creating a more sustainable and resilient future for Egypt.

Under the terms of the agreement, Heliopolis University’s SustInAfrica Project and EBDA will collaborate on various initiatives that align with their shared vision and goals. This collaboration will focus on the following key areas:

Research and Development: HU and EBDA will conduct joint research projects aimed at advancing sustainable agricultural practices, promoting biodiversity, and exploring innovative solutions for environmental challenges. By combining their expertise and resources, the two organizations seek to generate knowledge that can drive positive change in Egypt’s agricultural sector.

Capacity Building and Education: The cooperation agreement emphasizes the importance of knowledge-sharing and capacity building. HU and EBDA will collaborate on educational programs, workshops, and training sessions to disseminate sustainable farming practices, biodynamic principles, and holistic approaches to agriculture. These initiatives aim to empower farmers, students, and agricultural professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to a more resilient food system.

Outreach and Advocacy: HU and EBDA recognize the significance of raising awareness and advocating for sustainable development. Through joint outreach campaigns, conferences, and public events, the organizations will promote sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and social responsibility. By engaging stakeholders and the wider community, they aim to foster a greater understanding of the importance of sustainable practices and inspire collective action.
