  Locked in a Story, A Musical based on "Matilda"

  Locked in a story is based on the musical play “Matilda” that was originally a book by the British writer Roald Dahl. The play depicts the life of Matilda who is locked in an unhealthy environment; a dysfunctional family and a ghastly oppressive school. Can she free herself from all these chains and go into the wide open space?

  The cast of the play is a combination of Heliopolis University students and staff members, visiting volunteering professional actors, and children of “Young Scholars of Egypt”. The play is Egyptianized and directed by Effat Yehia. The play is produced by Heliopolis University and sponsored by Young Scholars and The Caravan Independent Theater group.
