Minister of Manpower Signs Two Cooperation Protocols with the University of Heliopolis

Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saffan and Dr. Mohamed Yousry Hashem, President of Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development signed two protocols for cooperation between the ministry and the university, in the presence of Helmy Abouleish Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the university deans, staff members and students.

Saffan said that the first protocol aims to train students during college years in technical professions to encourage them to accept the concept of self-employment and explore new ideas for entrepreneurship. This emphasizes the importance of vocational and transformational training to support the national economy and reduce unemployment. This goal will be achieved through workshops at the university campus that are based on exchanging experiences of both parties in this field.

He pointed out that the second protocol aims to promote the dissemination of the concepts if occupational safety and health, develop students’ skills in various fields and to benefit from their capabilities and encourage them to innovate. This will be through scientific competitions, seminars, conferences, and workshops.

 

Dr. Hashem stressed the importance of the role of universities in raising awareness among their students and activating the link between society and educational institutions to benefit from the academic experiences.

At the end of his visit, Saffan expressed his happiness to cooperate with the University of Heliopolis and praised the excellence of its educational vision, which he finds it unique and different from other Egyptian universities.
