Kandil is seeking truth, justice, and Gaballand to help his country when he returns home. So, he starts traveling through different countries, political systems, lifestyles, and beliefs. He has to face hard times on this journey.
The story of Ibn Fatum is a story of a seeker and Naguib Mahfouz gives as an insight of his journey. But Mahfouz is also putting something essential into our focus without naming it. He is genius in describing a political system without naming it.
“Ibn Fatouma” is adapted by Mohamed Mamdouh in cooperation with the Speech, Poetry, and Acting Department of the Core Program.

Transitioning to sustainable food and agriculture systems is critical to tackle malnutrition, social injustice, land degradation, water scarcity, climate change, loss of biodiversity, and agroecology plays a key role therein. In 2018, the World Future Council awarded, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and IFOAM – Organics International, exemplary policies that scale up agroecology, and recognized, in collaboration with the Startup TAGS, effective practices that empower small-scale food producers. Also a number of award-winning experts promote scaling up agroecology. At this event we take a closer look at World Champions advancing the much needed transformation of our food systems and will discuss especially solutions from Africa.

Money as a path of self-knowledge and personal and social transformation
lecture by Joan Antoni Melé Cartañá
Mr.Cartañá has been a member of the Anthroposophical Society in Spain since the early 1980s before becoming the Society's president. He has over 40 years of experience in the banking sector, and he's currently the president of the "Dinero y Conciencia Foundation" in Spain, promoting, developing and providing training in ethical banking in Latin America.
His lecture will be about self-knowledge, and personal transformation and about how the "disconnection of the human being from its transcendental spiritual essence has led to the behavior of incoherent and destructive life. Only reconnecting it with this spiritual essence will allow mankind to face and solve the problems and challenges we confront on an individual, social and environmental level." -
