Heliopolis University Alumni Unit in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Technology organized a workshop about how to write a research article. The workshop was presented by Dr. Ahmed Taha Ayoub, a Lecturer of Chemistry at the university.
Dr. Taha displayed the basic elements of a good research article. Firstly, authors should think about the main topic they will address in their article, then select a title and co-authors, and finally compose an abstract. The research article should also include an introduction, review of literature, research objectives, and methodology.
Dr. Taha emphasized that authors of research articles should make sure all scientific theories and hypotheses mentioned in their paper are correct through making the appropriate testing. A research article should include a complete demonstration of the whole research process, including discussions, conclusions, and recommendations for further researches.
Before submission, authors should make a final thorough revision of their article’s writing style, language consistency, and general appearance including forms, tables, and figures using assistive softwares. After submission, authors will be waiting for reviewers’ comments to proceed accordingly.
