Heliopolis University wins the Third Place in ABU Robocon 2018 Qualifiers

Engineering Students of Heliopolis University won the third place among Egyptian universities in the qualifiers of ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon 2018). Five Egyptian public and private universities participated in Egypt qualifiers for the contest with 11 robots.

The qualifiers were held between the Egyptian universities in July. The Higher Technological Institute in 10th of Ramadan City won the first place, Helwan University won the second, and Heliopolis won the third. Alexandria University and Nile University won the forth and fifth places.

ABU Robocon is an Asian Oceanian College robot competition, founded in 2002 by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. The contest aims to create friendship among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century, as well as help advance engineering and broadcasting technologies.
