Mohamed Yousry: Heliopolis University is a radiance center for the surrounding areas

“The university was distinguished by its unique location, which enabled it to exercise its societal role by serving 13 villages surrounded by the SEKEMs farm in Belbeis, near the Sharkia Governorate.” With these words, Prof. Mohamed Yousry, President of Heliopolis University, explained to October magazine the university’s prominent role.

The President of Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development added that the university had become a radiance center for the surrounding areas because the societal role it plays through its professors and students is one of the priorities of the university’s foundation, Professor Ibrahim Abu El-Aish. He followed the example of those who came after him.

Yousry continued that the university’s role in serving the community is not a typical one, but rather a role based on studying the actual needs of the surrounding villages through conducting a survey census and knowing the problems of the people in these villages.

It is not easy to stand out among the giants unless you are like them. This is what Heliopolis University has done since its inception ten years ago; it enriched the academic and applied education system. It ranked third in scientific publishing at the level of private universities in the world.

It is noteworthy that Heliopolis University excelled in sustainable development and was one of the pioneers specializing in various applied models between solar energy, water treatment unit, drug manufacturing, and many others.
