Program Aims

The Green Architecture Program at the Faculty of Engineering at Heliopolis University (HU) aims graduates to prepare graduates to be architects with knowledge and engineering skills that combine sustainable green approaches to physical, social, and environmental aspects in innovative ways by providing multidisciplinary architectural education and applying modern technologies compatible with local and global changes including:

  1. Green engineering knowledge, techniques, skills, and appropriate engineering tools, necessary for architecture engineering practice and projects process to meet the required needs within realistic constraints and interpret its data.
  2. Analytical thinking approach to study the impacts of designs on society & environment and other features considering contemporary engineering issues. 
  3. Ability to work through awareness of professional and ethical responsibilities and other value that ought to guide the engineering profession.
  4. Manage & self-development contribution breadth of knowledge developments of new engineering issues and process research and development. involvement with other cross-disciplinary working.
  5. An awareness of the need to respect diversity and to explore global engineering specialties teams. mastering the required qualities to manage responsibility for own and team performance.
  6. Construction of the importance of integrating cultural, economic, social, sustainability and environmental issues in green architecture and urban design projects.
  7. An ability to practices and communicate both the technical, spatial through comprehensive modes of representation and modern techniques.
