د. أحمد عبد الحليم هو أستاذ مساعد الكيمياء التحليلية الصيدلانية بكلية الصيدلة وتكنولوجيا الدواء في جامعة هليوبوليس. حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في عام ١٩٩٨ و الماجستير عام ٢٠٠٤ من جامعة الأزهر. في عام ٢٠١٠ حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه من معهد الكيمياء البيئية والمستدامة بجامعة براونشفايغ للتكنولوجيا بألمانيا وجاءت أطروحته تحت عنوان “التحليل الكيميائي البيئي المتعلق بالصناعات الدوائية“. شغل سابقاً منصب رئيس قسم الكيمياء التحليلية الصيدلانية ورئيس وحدة ضمان الجودة بكلية الصيدلة بجامعة الأزهر.

تتمثل اهتماماته البحثية في دراسة مصير وتوزيع المواد الصيدلانية ومخلفات منتجات العناية الشخصية كخطوات أولية لتقييم المخاطر البيئية التي تسببها ومن ثم تطبيق تدابير تقليل مخاطر هذه الفئات الجديدة من الملوثات البيئية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، فهو مهتم بإعداد طرق تحليلية جديدة وبسيطة وحساسة لتحديد المواد الصيدلانية المتواجدة في المواد الخام وجرعاتها. أشرف د. عبد الحليم على العديد من طلاب الدكتوراه والماجستير في مصر.
