The Faculty of Organic Agriculture of Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development is established to contribute to the sustainable development of the Egyptian society. The Faculty started with the academic year 2018/2019.
The Faculty of Organic Agriculture comprises two academic programs. Each program consists of a four-year study plan with 140 credit hours. It offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in the following specializations:
- Organic Crop Production
- Food Processing Technology
Department of Organic Crop Production
The Department of Organic Crop Production is primarily focused on the aspects of agriculture, food production, crops, etc. The department employs state-of-the-art methods in organic crop production and follows international standards for organic products in order to educate students on techniques to grow and cultivate different crops in a way that preserves people’s health and keeps the environment safe.
Department of Food Processing Technology
The Department of Food Processing Technology is primarily focused on teaching different aspects of food processing, storage, and supply chains. The department is employing state-of-the-art methods in food processing technology and following international standards for food safety, food handling, and processing in order to educate students on ways to grow and cultivate different crops in a healthy and safe way.
